NC EV adoption context

North Carolina’s EV registrations have grown 40%+ year-over-year. The Triangle, with its tech-heavy workforce and newer housing stock, leads the state in EV adoption. Installing a Level 2 charger now adds convenience and resale value — buyers increasingly expect home charging capability.

Frequently asked questions

Installation cost (not including the charger unit) runs $800–$2,500 in the Triangle. The main variables are distance from your panel to the charging location, whether your panel has capacity for a 50-amp circuit, and whether you need a panel upgrade. We quote after a site visit.
If your panel is 200 amps with available breaker spaces, usually not. If you have a 100-amp panel or your panel is full, you'll likely need an upgrade first. We assess this during our site visit and include it in the quote if needed.
We install all major Level 2 chargers: Tesla Wall Connector, ChargePoint Home Flex, Wallbox Pulsar Plus, Emporia, Grizzl-E, and universal NEMA 14-50 outlets for portable chargers. We can also help you choose the right unit for your vehicle.
The federal EV charger tax credit (Section 30C) provides up to $1,000 for residential installations. Duke Energy has periodically offered EV charger rebates — we recommend checking their current programs. We include the permit cost in our installation price.
