Apex — 22 minutes from HQ
Apex has been one of the fastest-growing towns in North Carolina for over a decade, earning its “Peak of Good Living” tagline. That growth means a large base of homes built between 2000 and 2015 that are now hitting the age where builder-grade finishes need replacement and mechanical systems need attention.
We’re 22 minutes from our Raleigh shop via US-1. Crews are in Apex multiple days per week.
What we do in Apex
- Kitchen remodeling — Builder-grade 2000s kitchens with outdated layouts, laminate counters, and basic cabinetry — opened up, modernized, and properly wired for today’s appliance loads
- EV charger installation — Apex has one of the highest EV adoption rates in the Triangle. We install Tesla Wall Connectors, ChargePoint, and universal outlets with same-week scheduling.
- Bathroom remodeling — Primary suite renovations, hall bath updates, accessibility conversions
- Electrical — Panel upgrades (many 2000s Apex homes have 150-amp panels that need upgrading for EV + heat pump loads), recessed lighting, smart home wiring
- Plumbing — Water heater replacement (original units in 2003–2008 homes are past their lifespan), fixture upgrades, outdoor faucet repairs
- Handyman — Deck staining, pressure washing, drywall repairs, the accumulated maintenance list
Apex’s housing stock
Most of Apex was built in three waves:
Historic downtown (pre-1950): Small inventory of character homes along and near Salem Street. These need the same attention as older homes anywhere — electrical upgrades, repiping, careful renovation work.
First growth wave (1990–2005, Beaver Creek, Scotts Mill, Salem Village): Homes are 20–35 years old. Builder-grade kitchens and bathrooms are due for renovation. Original water heaters, HVAC systems, and roofing are at or past end of life. Electrical panels may need upgrading for modern loads.
Second growth wave (2005–present, Sweetwater, Bella Casa, Shepherds Vineyard): Newer homes with less deferred maintenance but growing demand for EV circuits, home office additions, outdoor living spaces, and cosmetic refreshes.
